Inox Wind, a leading wind solutions company, has announced that it will invest Rs 4,000 million (approximately $45 million) to build a wind turbine blade manufacturing unit in Kushtagi, Koppal district, Karnataka. 

The project is being developed on 70 acres in Kyadiguppa village and will also include plans to fabricate towers. 

The investment will be phased: Rs 3,000 million in the initial stage and Rs 1,000 million in the next phase. 

The facility is expected to create around 1,000 direct jobs and strengthen India’s domestic capability to manufacture critical wind energy components, supporting the renewable energy build-out.
