Inox Air Products to supply nitrogen to ReNew and Grew solar-cell factories

Power Generation  -  Dec 01,2025  -

Inox Air Products has secured long-term contracts to supply ultra-high-purity nitrogen to two major solar-cell manufacturing facilities — ReNew’s 4 GW factory in Gujarat and Grew Energy’s 3 GW plant in Madhya Pradesh. The availability of clean nitrogen is crucial for TOPCon and advanced cell manufacturing, where contamination control directly affects efficiency and yields. These agreements strengthen the company’s footprint in India’s fast-expanding renewable-manufacturing ecosystem.

The deals also underline the rising industrial-gases demand driven by India’s push to scale solar-module and cell production under PLI incentives. High-purity nitrogen is used across multiple process steps including wafer texturing, diffusion, annealing, and edge isolation. Inox Air’s supply-chain consistency ensures stable plant operations for both manufacturers, reducing risks associated with purity deviations.

With India aiming for 100+ GW of integrated solar manufacturing capacity over the next few years, supporting industries like industrial gases are witnessing substantial expansion. Inox Air is leveraging this momentum by investing in new plants and pipelines near key manufacturing zones. This strategic positioning enhances reliability for customers and strengthens backward integration in India’s renewable-energy value chain.
