Industrial manufacturing cluster to be set up near Hisar airport

Industrial Products  -  Apr 16,2025  -

The Haryana government has announced the development of an industrial manufacturing cluster (IMC) over approx. 3,000 acres near the newly inaugurated Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar.

With an estimated cost of Rs 4,680 crore, the project will be developed jointly by the Haryana government and the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC).

This announcement was made during a key post-inauguration review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, with Civil Aviation Minister S Vipul Goel in attendance.

During the meeting, officials highlighted that the IMC is part of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor initiative. It aims to accelerate manufacturing growth and promote planned urbanisation through integrated industrial corridors supported by multi-modal connectivity.

Under this plan, industrial townships will be developed in six cities across seven states, with the Hisar IMC being the largest.

The project will be executed in two phases and is expected to attract investments of around Rs 32,000 crore and generate over 10,000 employment opportunities.

The IMC will feature modern infrastructure including well-laid roads, a water treatment plant, and a solid waste management system (STP).

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NICDC and the Haryana government will be signed soon to facilitate smooth execution.
