Indowind Energy Ltd. has finalized an in-principle agreement to acquire a 5.1 MW operational wind power project for an estimated Rs 25 crore, providing an immediate boost to its renewable generation capacity. 

This acquisition is part of a broader strategy to secure stable, recurring revenue through assets with existing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), avoiding the long lead times associated with greenfield projects. 

Moving forward, the company plans to evaluate the hybridization of the site with solar power to maximize energy yields, reflecting a trend of consolidation and optimization within India’s maturing wind energy sector.
