Indian Railways has announced an investment of Rs. 765 crore to modernise traction systems and communication infrastructure.

The initiative aims to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and safety across the railway network.

Officials said upgraded traction equipment will support higher speeds and improved train performance.

The communication upgrades will enhance signalling and operational coordination.

The project forms part of the railways’ ongoing infrastructure modernisation programme.
