Indian Peroxide Limited (IPL) has announced plans to develop a new 400 TPD Chlor-alkali (caustic soda) plant at its complex in Dahej, Gujarat. 

The project, which is scalable to 800 TPD, is slated for commissioning by October 2026 using advanced Japanese process technology.

The facility is a strategic forward-integration move for IPL; hydrogen generated as a byproduct of the chlor-alkali process will be used as a captive feed for the company’s existing 300 TPD hydrogen peroxide plant. 

This integrated model enhances resource efficiency and ensures a steady supply of chemicals for sectors like aluminum, textiles, and water treatment, further reducing India's import bill for specialty chemicals.
