Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has commissioned a residue upgradation facility at its Vizag refinery, boosting fuel output and refining margins. 

The unit allows conversion of low-value residues into high-value products such as petrol and diesel. 

This improves crude flexibility and shields margins during volatile oil price cycles.

The project also reduces fuel oil production, supporting cleaner fuel output. 

It strengthens the refinery’s long-term competitiveness and operational resilience.
