Petroleum  -  Sep 25,2025  -

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has secured contracts totaling Rs 2,566 crore for multiple infrastructure projects.

These include highways, bridges, and industrial facilities, highlighting HCC’s role in India’s infrastructure development.

The contracts, awarded by the Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL), significantly bolster HCC's order book and reinforce its position as a leading builder of complex underground metro systems in India.

The two packages awarded to HCC are for Phase I of the Patna Metro Rail Project along the Danapur-Khemnichak Corridor.

The total scope of work involves the construction of 10.67 km of underground twin tunnels and six new underground metro stations. The tunneling work will be executed using advanced Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).

Both packages also include architectural finishing, water supply, sanitary installations, and drainage works for all six stations.

The two contracts have an estimated completion period of 42 months and are being financed through a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
