Hapag-Lloyd plans Rs. 20,000 crore investment in Indian maritime sector

German shipping major Hapag-Lloyd is planning to invest around Rs. 20,000 crore in India’s maritime infrastructure.

The investment will focus on port infrastructure, logistics, and shipping operations.

India’s growing trade volumes and port modernisation efforts are attracting global shipping players.

The move is expected to enhance cargo handling capacity and logistics efficiency. Project execution will follow discussions with government and port authorities.
