The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has issued a tender seeking private sector participation to establish a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant with the capacity to process municipal solid waste and agricultural residues. 

The facility will generate CBG for use as a clean transport fuel and organic manure as a by-product. 

The initiative is part of the Sustainable Greater Noida Mission and aligns with the Government of India’s SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) scheme. 

By diverting waste from landfills and replacing fossil fuels, the project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote a circular economy model in the NCR region.
