GAIL pushes MNJPL project completion to December

Petroleum  -  Sep 24,2025  -

State-run GAIL (India) Ltd has revised the completion timeline for its Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline (MNJPL) project to December this year, pushing it from its earlier deadline of September.

The company attributed the delay to construction challenges but confirmed that work is nearing completion. Once commissioned, the pipeline will enhance gas connectivity across western and central India, supporting both industrial and household consumption.

In addition, GAIL has approved the expansion of its Jamnagar LPG pipeline, a project aimed at strengthening the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas in the western region.

The expansion will cater to rising demand for LPG in Gujarat and adjoining states, ensuring greater reliability of supply. These developments underline GAIL’s ongoing efforts to expand its energy infrastructure and meet India’s growing demand for natural gas and LPG.
