GAIL India Limited has invested $130 million in a subsidiary of TruAlt Bioenergy to expand its presence in the compressed biogas (CBG) sector.

The investment will support development of bioenergy infrastructure and production facilities.

The move aligns with India’s push to increase adoption of cleaner fuels and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The partnership is expected to strengthen the CBG value chain. Further expansion will be driven by project-level execution and scaling.
