GAIL India Limited has approved an investment of Rs. 1,736 crore for a 178 MW wind power project in Maharashtra.

The project marks a significant step in the company’s transition towards renewable energy investments.

Officials stated that the wind farm will contribute clean electricity to the grid once commissioned.

The project will be developed in phases and integrated with existing power infrastructure.

The investment aligns with GAIL’s strategy to diversify its energy portfolio beyond natural gas.
