Fujifilm is all set to build a semiconductor materials facility in India to cater to the growing Indian semiconductor industry.

The Japanese company will acquire land for the plant in Gujarat and start construction as early as 2026 and aims to have it operating around 2028.

The total investment is several billion yen, and it will consider producing products such as chemicals and developers used to remove impurities in the semiconductor manufacturing process.

The company will first supply products to Tata Electronics, a semiconductor manufacturing company under the Indian Tata Group.
