Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is set to complete the final detailed Land Plan Schedule (LPS) for the Coimbatore Metro project within the next two months. 

This final phase will include the crucial asset valuation for the two proposed corridors, which have a total length of 40 km and an estimated cost of Rs 10,740 crore. 

The project is progressing steadily, with the completion of the primary LPS for both corridors and the topographical surveys. 

The final report will detail the number of properties to be acquired and the land quantum required, ensuring a smooth transition into the land acquisition phase. 

This marks a significant step towards the commencement of the long-awaited metro project in Coimbatore.
