Escorts Kubota to build a Rs 4,500 crore tractor plant in Uttar Pradesh

Manufacturing  -  Aug 19,2025  -

Escorts Kubota Ltd has announced plans to establish a new, state-of-the-art tractor manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. The company has secured a 190-acre site from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for the project, which will see an investment of Rs 4,500 crore.

This development is poised to create approximately 4,000 jobs in the region.

The new facility will be a greenfield project, meaning it's a completely new plant built from the ground up. This will allow the company to incorporate the latest technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and cost-competitiveness.

The project, anchored by an MoU with the Uttar Pradesh government, will be implemented in phases.

The first phase will involve an investment of Rs 2,000 crore to set up the tractor and commercial equipment units. Beyond production, Escorts Kubota also intends to establish a hub for Kubota's global R&D initiatives, further solidifying India's role as a key manufacturing and innovation center.

This move is a strategic step for Escorts Kubota, a partnership between India's Escorts and Japan's Kubota, to develop value-oriented tractors for both domestic and international markets.
