Engineers India Limited (EIL) has issued a tender for the civil, structural, and underground piping works-3 for the Electrolysis Chlorine Unit (ECU) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited's (BPCL) Bina Petchem and Refinery Expansion Project (BPREP).

This tender is a crucial part of BPCL's larger vision to modernize and significantly expand its refining capacity and foray into petrochemical production at the Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.

The Bina Petchem and Refinery Expansion Project is an ambitious undertaking by BPCL, with an estimated cost of Rs 48,926 crore.

The specific tender issued by EIL focuses on civil, structural, and underground piping installations for the Electrolysis Chlorine Unit (ECU), which is a vital component of the expanded refinery and petrochemical complex. This is part of multiple work packages for the overall BPREP.

The Bina expansion is expected to create substantial employment opportunities during both construction and post-commissioning phases.
