Endurance Technologies has announced that it will construct a lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing centre in Pune, Maharashtra with an investment of approximately Rs 47.3 crore in the new facility.

The manufacturing unit is expected to commence production in January 2026, with a phased rollout beginning in Q4/FY26.

Once fully operational, the plant will have a monthly production capacity of 35,000 battery packs, aimed at serving the domestic market. 

The investment is being financed entirely through internal accruals. Endurance Technologies, traditionally an auto components manufacturer, has thus far been focused on components such as suspension, braking systems, and transmission products.

The shift towards battery technology highlights a strategic pivot as the automotive industry accelerates its transition to electric vehicles (EVs) and eco-friendly alternatives.
