Embraco to commence compressor manufacturing in India

Manufacturing  -  Jun 10,2025  -

Embraco will soon commence manufacturing its compressors in India at its new production facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad), Maharashtra.

The project involves a total investment of over $120 million and spans 55,000 square meters. Once operational, it is expected to generate employment for 750 to 1,000 people, contributing to the region’s industrial growth and skill development.

The facility, with a planned annual output of 6 million units, will start operations in the latter half of 2026. It will manufacture a wide range of compressors and electronic components used in residential and commercial refrigeration systems.

This strategic move aims to support the growing demand for energy-efficient refrigeration products across India’s domestic and commercial sectors.
The upcoming manufacturing facility will focus on producing four high-performance Embraco compressor models, known for their compact form and energy-efficient operation.

Among them, the ES and EL models are fixed-speed compressors engineered for low-noise, dependable performance, and compatibility with eco-friendly natural refrigerants.
