Elista, an electronics brand, has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its first Smart TV unit from a new manufacturing facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. 

This state-of-the-art facility, developed with a phased investment of Rs 250 crore, spans 1.32 lakh square feet and has an initial annual production capacity of one million Smart TVs and LED monitors.

The facility's opening was celebrated with the company's first-ever export, a consignment of 650 premium Smart TVs valued at Rs 2.55 crore, shipped to Dubai under the India-Dubai Free Trade Agreement. 

The strategic location of the facility near major ports is expected to boost the company’s export-led growth.

The new plant currently employs over 200 skilled professionals, with plans to expand the workforce to 500. 

The facility incorporates advanced features like robotics and automated assembly and adheres to eco-friendly practices such as rainwater harvesting and solar energy utilization. 

The company also plans to introduce a localized Smart TV interface to promote regional content, aligning with its "Make in India" initiative.
