Dixon Technologies has announced a significant stride towards deepening its backward integration and boosting indigenous manufacturing with the formation of a joint venture (JV) with China's Chongqing Yuhai Precision Manufacturing. The binding Term Sheet for this strategic partnership was signed on July 15, 2025.

This new JV will focus on the manufacturing and supply of high-precision components for a wide range of electronic products, including laptops, mobile phones, IoT devices, and automotive applications, within India. 

Dixon Technologies will hold a majority stake of 74% in the joint venture company, with Chongqing Yuhai holding the remaining 26%. This ownership structure aligns with the Indian government's emphasis on local control in strategic partnerships with foreign entities.

Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Dixon Technologies (India) Limited, emphasized the significance of this collaboration: 

"This joint venture is a significant step in our effort towards localization of key components and deepening backward integration. Partnering with Chongqing brings their deep technical expertise together with Dixon's manufacturing scale, further strengthening India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem," Atul said.
