DCM Shriram Limited has approved an investment of Rs. 217 crore to expand its renewable energy capacity.

The project will involve development of solar and other clean energy installations to support the company’s power requirements.

Officials said the initiative will reduce reliance on conventional power sources and lower carbon emissions.

The renewable energy facilities will be developed at multiple manufacturing locations.

Implementation will be carried out in phases following regulatory approvals.
