Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has announced plans to increase capacity at its Manali refinery, strengthening India’s refining infrastructure. 

The expansion is expected to improve operational efficiency and meet rising demand for petroleum products in southern India. CPCL, one of the country’s oldest refining companies, plays a strategic role in regional fuel supply. 

The project may also include upgrades to meet stricter emission norms. 

Capacity enhancement aligns with efforts to modernise India’s downstream energy assets.
