Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is embarking on an exciting venture to explore innovative transportation solutions for Tamil Nadu's popular tourist destinations. 

The agency has initiated a detailed feasibility study for setting up cable cars and ropeways in Mamallapuram, Ooty (Udhagamandalam), and Kodaikanal. 

This forward-thinking approach aims to not only enhance the visitor experience by offering breathtaking aerial views but also to improve traffic management in these often-congested locales. 

The study will meticulously assess the technical, financial, environmental, and socio-economic aspects of these potential projects, considering how they might connect iconic sites like the Shore Temple in Mamallapuram, the Botanical Garden in Ooty, and scenic viewpoints in Kodaikanal. 

If deemed feasible, these cable-propelled systems could revolutionize how tourists explore these beautiful regions.
