CEAT Limited plans to invest Rs. 1,300 crore in its Chennai plant to expand tyre manufacturing capacity for domestic and export markets.

The expansion will focus on high-value tyre segments and global supply requirements.

Officials said Chennai’s strong automotive ecosystem and port connectivity make it a strategic location.

The investment is expected to enhance production efficiency and export competitiveness.

The project will be implemented in phases.
