The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has granted approval for the Dagadarthi airport project in Nellore district, reviving long-pending plans for regional aviation infrastructure. 

The airport is expected to improve connectivity for industrial clusters, ports, and agricultural exporters in the region. 

It will also support passenger traffic growth in southern Andhra Pradesh. 

The project forms part of the state’s strategy to expand air connectivity beyond major cities. Development is likely to proceed in phases based on traffic potential.
