Cabinet approves Rs. 4,474 crore rail projects in West Bengal and Jharkhand

The Union Cabinet has approved railway projects worth Rs. 4,474 crore to strengthen rail connectivity across West Bengal and Jharkhand.

The projects include expansion and upgrading of rail lines to improve capacity and operational efficiency.

Officials said the developments will enhance freight movement and passenger connectivity in the region.

The rail infrastructure upgrades are expected to support industrial and logistics activities.

Implementation will proceed through Indian Railways following tendering and project approvals.
