The Union Cabinet has approved rail projects worth Rs. 4,474 crore along with highway projects valued at Rs. 3,839 crore.

The rail projects will improve connectivity and network capacity across West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Officials said the infrastructure upgrades will enhance freight transportation and passenger mobility.

The highway development component will strengthen road connectivity in key regions.

The projects form part of the government’s broader infrastructure expansion strategy.
