The Bihar government has approved a 500-bed hospital and medical college in Dumraon, targeted for completion by March. 

The facility will significantly improve access to tertiary healthcare in western Bihar. 

It is expected to reduce patient load on hospitals in Patna and neighbouring states. 

The medical college will also help address regional doctor shortages. 

Officials see the project as a cornerstone healthcare investment for the region.
