Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has secured a major Rs. 13,500 crore order from NTPC Limited for a thermal power project in Telangana. The contract includes supply of equipment and execution of key plant components.

The project will contribute to strengthening baseload power capacity in the region.

Despite the renewable push, thermal power continues to play a crucial role in ensuring grid stability.

The order significantly boosts BHEL’s order book and reinforces its position in large-scale power equipment manufacturing.
