Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has announced the inauguration of its newly constructed, advanced warehousing facility, encompassing 0.12 acres, located within the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board's (KIADB) Aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

This inauguration represents a pivotal advancement in BEML’s strategic objective to become a critical contributor to India’s aerospace and defense sectors, as stated by Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, in an official company press release.

Roy emphasized that this warehousing facility is not merely infrastructure; it is a strategic asset designed to support future capabilities in advanced manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) services, and global exports, all adhering to international Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.

He further stated, "BEML is fully dedicated to supporting Karnataka's initiative to establish this Aerospace SEZ as a premier hub for India's aviation and defense industries."

Furthermore, the commencement of Phase II of the project was marked by the laying of the foundation stone, which will expand the facility by an additional 1.15 acres within the same SEZ.

BEML currently possesses 25 acres of land within the Aerospace SEZ, with plans to develop it into a dynamic industrial center that caters to the expanding needs of the defense and aviation sectors.
