BEML fortifies indigenous Defence Manufacturing with new units at KGF Complex

Infrastructure  -  Jul 04,2025  -

BEML Limited, a leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has announced a major infrastructure expansion at its historic Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) complex near Bengaluru.

The commissioning of three next-generation units dedicated to defence manufacturing marks a strategic push to enhance indigenous capabilities and accelerate the delivery of mission-critical military platforms.

The new facilities, inaugurated by BEML Chairman and Managing Director, Shantanu Roy, in the presence of the company's functional directors and senior leadership, are set to significantly augment BEML's capacity to support the manufacturing and servicing of Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARVs) and their advanced variants.

ARVs are crucial assets for military logistics and operations, playing a vital role in recovering and maintaining military vehicles in challenging terrains.

The three newly commissioned units—two measuring 30x140 meters and one 30x100 meters—are equipped with integrated stores and logistics sections.

This strategic design aims to streamline component flow, reduce turnaround time, and enhance overall operational efficiency
