Footwear giant Bata India has invested Rs 300 million to upgrade and modernize its manufacturing facility in Batanagar, West Bengal. 

This significant investment is aimed at enhancing production efficiency, improving quality control, and incorporating new technologies to meet evolving consumer demands. 

The upgrade reflects Bata's commitment to its legacy facility and its vision for long-term growth in the Indian market.

This investment also aligns with Bata India’s broader growth plans, which include expanding its retail footprint in non-metro areas. 

Over the past year, the company has opened nearly 130 new stores, with more than half located in smaller towns. With over 500 stores nationwide, Bata India is reinforcing its position as a key player in the Indian footwear industry.
