The Assam Cabinet has approved a Rs. 103 crore five-star hotel project in Silchar aimed at boosting tourism and hospitality infrastructure in the Barak Valley region.

Officials said the project will enhance accommodation capacity for tourists and business travellers. The hotel will include modern guest rooms, dining facilities, and event spaces.

The development is expected to create employment and support local economic activity.

The project will be developed following completion of statutory approvals and construction planning.
