Infrastructure  -  Sep 18,2025  -

Arunachal Pradesh has commenced work on its second medical college in Namsai, which will offer 100 MBBS seats and is expected to be completed within a period of seven years.

The new college will be developed around the existing Namsai District Hospital, which is also set for a major expansion to a 320-bed facility.

This project, which will be executed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, aims to significantly boost the state's healthcare infrastructure and medical education opportunities.

The new college will raise the total number of MBBS seats in the state to 200, including those at the existing Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun.
