The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned Rs. 5,443 crore for land acquisition related to the Dugarajapatnam port project.

The funds will be used to acquire land for port and allied infrastructure.

Dugarajapatnam is planned as a major deep-water port on the east coast. The sanction clears a key pre-development requirement for the project.

Further construction activities will proceed after land acquisition is completed.
