Andhra Pradesh has extended an invitation to Airbus to establish a manufacturing facility in the state. 

During a closed-door meeting, Minister Nara Lokesh emphasized the state’s industrial readiness, robust infrastructure, and potential for end-to-end supply chain integration. 

Andhra Pradesh has been aggressively courting global investors, particularly in advanced manufacturing and aerospace, to create high-value jobs and boost exports. 

The proposal aligns with India’s ‘Make in India’ and indigenisation drive, which seeks to reduce dependence on imports and build self-reliance in defense and aerospace manufacturing. 

If successful, this development could propel Andhra Pradesh into a prominent position in the global aerospace ecosystem, competing with established hubs in Europe and Asia.
