The Andhra Pradesh government has approved Websol Energy’s Rs. 3,538 crore, 8 GW solar project, reinforcing the state’s renewable investment momentum. 

The phased rollout will allow gradual grid integration and financing flexibility. 

The project is expected to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a large solar capacity host. 

It will also contribute to meeting peak power demand sustainably. State authorities view the project as a signal to attract further private renewable investments.
