The extension of the Ahmedabad Metro to GIFT City has received approval for Rs. 1,067 crore.

The project will enhance urban transit connectivity between Ahmedabad and Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City).

The extension aims to support commuter and business travel demand in the financial hub.

Officials stated that the project will reduce travel time and improve public transport accessibility.

Construction activities are expected to begin following tender finalisation.
