Global technology company Acer has inaugurated a new laptop manufacturing facility in Puducherry in partnership with local manufacturer Plumage. 

The new plant, a key part of Acer's commitment to the "Make in India" mission, will have the capacity to produce approximately 200,000 laptops a year per shift. 

This facility will not only cater to the domestic market but will also explore export opportunities in Southeast Asian countries. 

The move strengthens Acer's local manufacturing footprint and is a step towards India becoming a major hub for high-value electronics production.
