ACC Limited has successfully commissioned a new brownfield grinding unit project at its Sindri plant in Jharkhand. 

This strategic expansion adds a substantial 1.5 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) to ACC's production capabilities, significantly bolstering its total installed cement capacity.

The official announcement, made on July 9, 2025, after market hours, marks a pivotal moment in ACC's growth trajectory. 

With this new unit, the combined installed cement capacity of Ambuja Cements and its subsidiaries has now reached 104.45 MTPA, further solidifying its position as a leading cement producer in India.

The additional capacity at Sindri is expected to strengthen ACC's market presence in the region and enhance its ability to meet the growing demand for cement, driven by India's robust infrastructure development. 

This commissioning is part of ACC's broader strategy for both brownfield and greenfield expansions, aiming to reach a capacity of 140 MTPA by FY28, as highlighted by Karan Adani, Chairman of ACC Cement.
