YEIDA to develop Japanese medical-device manufacturing cluster near Noida Airport

Manufacturing  -  Oct 24,2025  -

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has revealed plans to develop a Japanese medical-device manufacturing cluster near Noida International Airport, signalling a targeted effort to attract Japanese firms and technology to the region.

YEIDA plans to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Medical Excellence Japan (MEJ) and is preparing a flatted-factory complex with plug-and-play units worth over Rs 100 crore to support MSMEs and medtech startups.

The cluster, designed to leverage proximity to the airport for exports and to facilitate technology transfer, will include shared testing & R&D infrastructure and aims to position the park as a global manufacturing hub for advanced medical devices.

Officials expect the collaboration to accelerate joint ventures, boost exports to Japan and create a policy environment conducive to Make-in-India goals in medtech.
