Websol has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Linton to explore ingot and wafer manufacturing for the photovoltaic ecosystem in India. 

The collaboration aims to strengthen the domestic solar supply chain by building upstream capabilities that are currently dominated by imports. 

If implemented, the venture would position Websol among the few companies in India capable of producing high-quality polysilicon-based components.

The MoU comes at a time when India is aggressively promoting vertical integration in solar manufacturing to support its long-term renewable energy goals. 

Both companies are expected to study technology transfer models, cost structures, and scalability options before finalising commercial terms.
