Waaree Energies has announced plans to establish a 16 GWh lithium-ion battery gigafactory in Andhra Pradesh. 

The facility will manufacture advanced battery cells for energy storage applications.

The project aims to support electric mobility and grid-scale storage demand.The gigafactory will be developed in phases.

It will strengthen domestic battery manufacturing capability. Implementation will proceed after regulatory and infrastructure approvals.
