Vietnam’s Vingroup has signed an MoU with the Telangana government for a phased, multi-billion-dollar investment to develop a multi-sector ecosystem including smart urban projects, EV mobility, renewable energy and healthcare. 

The proposed collaboration spans large-scale components — smart city development, EV manufacturing and a significant solar-energy component — and is positioned as a strategic, long-term industrial partnership. 

Telangana officials will support land allocation and fast-track approvals to accelerate project mobilization, while Vingroup aims to leverage local manufacturing and services to scale its India footprint. 

Observers say the MoU could catalyse further foreign direct investment into the state’s industrial and clean-mobility clusters.
