Venwind Refex Power Ltd, a subsidiary of the publicly listed Refex Industries Limited, has been awarded a significant contract valued at Rs. 474.45 crore for the supply and commissioning of wind turbine generators (WTGs) and tubular towers for a wind power project in Gujarat. This landmark deal was awarded by a leading independent power producer in the country.

The scope of the contract extends beyond the mere supply of equipment. Venwind Refex Power Ltd will also be responsible for the testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of the WTGs. Additionally, the company will provide technical and supervisory assistance for the casting of the WTG foundations and the erection of the turbines.
The execution of this substantial order is planned in two phases. The first phase, valued at Rs. 142.33 crore, is slated for completion by March 2026. 

The second and larger phase, worth Rs. 332.12 crore, is expected to be completed by March 2027.

This contract marks a significant milestone for Refex Industries as it continues to strengthen its footprint in the renewable energy sector, a strategic diversification from its established business in industrial gases.
