UPSIDA, JNPA partner to position Lalitpur pharma park as export hub

Infrastructure  -  Apr 06,2026  -

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has signed a pact with Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority to position the upcoming Lalitpur pharma park as a global export-oriented manufacturing hub. The collaboration is aimed at integrating port-led logistics with pharmaceutical production infrastructure.

The initiative is expected to streamline export supply chains by providing efficient connectivity between manufacturing units and port facilities. This will help reduce turnaround time and logistics costs for pharma exporters.

The pharma park is being developed as part of India’s broader push to strengthen domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports.

With improved infrastructure and export linkages, the project is expected to attract large-scale investments and enhance India’s competitiveness in global pharmaceutical markets.
