Infrastructure  -  Jul 04,2025  -

In a significant boost to Jharkhand's infrastructure and connectivity, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 11 National Highway (NH) projects worth a staggering Rs 6,350 crore.

These transformative initiatives, spread across the key districts of Ranchi and Garhwa, are set to enhance regional connectivity, alleviate urban traffic congestion, and inject fresh momentum into the state's economic growth.

The projects underscore the central government's commitment to strengthening Jharkhand's road network, which has seen considerable expansion in recent years.

Gadkari emphasised that India's road infrastructure is rapidly catching up with global standards, a development that is already contributing to a significant reduction in logistics costs across the country.

Ranchi, the state capital, emerged as a major beneficiary, with nine projects rolled out in the region.

Gadkari reiterated the central government's commitment to implementing road and highway projects worth a total of Rs 2 lakh crore in Jharkhand, with Rs 40,000 crore already completed and Rs 70,000 crore worth of projects currently in progress. He also highlighted that schemes worth Rs 75,000 crore are in the pipeline.
