UltraTech Cement has announced the commissioning of its second cement grinding mill at the Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh on 26 June. 

“We are pleased to announce the commissioning of the second cement grinding mill with a capacity of 1.8 MTPA at the company’s unit located in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plan,” said UltraTech in a regulatory filing.

The new mill adds 1.8 million tonne per annum (mtpa) to the company’s production capacity as part of its ongoing expansion drive.

The first grinding mill at the same unit had been commissioned in March 2025. With this development, UltraTech’s total consolidated domestic grey cement capacity now stands at 186.86 MTPA. Including overseas operations, the company’s global cement capacity has reached 192.26 MTPA.
