Titagarh Rail Systems Limited’s naval arm has received in-principle approval for a brownfield expansion at its Falta facility in West Bengal. The project is aimed at strengthening shipbuilding and defence manufacturing capabilities.

The expansion will enable the company to scale production of specialised vessels and marine systems, aligning with rising demand in both defence and commercial segments.

India’s focus on indigenisation in defence manufacturing has created strong growth opportunities for domestic shipbuilders.

The project is expected to enhance capacity utilisation and improve execution capabilities for future orders.
